Treatment with Cisplatin, Bleomycin, Etopside Combination Chemotherapy for a Case of Wilms' Tumor which Relapsed at Lung and Liver

Abstract

|
A case of relapsed stage-IV Wilms' tumor was treated with chemotherapy without radiation or surgical resection. The regimen was combination of cisplatin(CDDP), etoposide, and bleomycin for induction and cyclophosphamide, vincristine, adriamycin
which
was alternating with cyclophosphamide, vincristine, actinomycin-D for maintenance. The patient tolerated the whole chemotherapy well, and the anticipatory toxicities of kidney and lung were not develped. Also bone marrow suppression was not
found.
Symptomatic relief was found immediately after first course of treatment and all metastatic nodules were completely disappeared after whole course of chemotherapy.
